DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

ANOTHER GREAT DAY AT THE PARK

Walt Disney was a great family man and wanted to create places families could go together and have fun.  He had dreams and made them come true.  What a great man.  We went to "One man's dream" telling his life story.  I can remember as a kid walking over a mile to a friends house that had a TV to watch the Disney show.  Always wanting to go to Disneyland and experiencing it for myself.  A dream come true for us...this trip!!  How blessed we are!!!

THE MAGIC KINGDOM

Pirates of the Caribbean - We were stranded for about 10 mins until they could get the water flowing again!
Main Street - The feet said "time to go home"
Buzz Lightyear - I beat Vern on the lasers!  I think my gun was broke it registered 999,999 hits!  : )
Waiting for "Under the Sea - Journey                                          of    the Little Mermaid"
We saw Ariel, Lily!  Wish you were here!
Guess the tune that gets stuck in your head!!
Thunder Mountain
After Splash Mt. - We got wet!!

Splash Mountain  Just to prove we actually went.
This is something you actually have to see!!!
The castle bathed in white lights.  It was amazing!!  Just like the old Chinese Proverb said "Hearing something 100 times is not like seeing it once"!!

ORLANDO TEMPLE

                                                      I THINK I'M IN LOVE!!

Backward flowing fountains.
This is the ninth new temple that we have visited on our trip.  They were all looking alike for awhile.  That is until we went to the Orlando Temple this past week.  The color scheme is so different from most temples that we have seen.  With pinks (not my favorite color), purples, rose and lavender.  The Celestial Room has one huge chandelier (not uncommon), but two smaller ones on each side.  Purple couches! and the most beautiful stained glass dome and windows I have ever seen!  The chapel has a huge stained glass piece that is a depiction of the sacred grove I believe. Beautiful!!  The second time we went, the following week we did sealings for some of my family, which was very special for me.

ORLANDO FLORIDA

EPCOT CENTER  DISNEY WORLD ORLANDO FLORIDA

On Monday, Veteran's Day we decided to go to the Epcot Center.  Disney has four separate parks down here in Orlando.  While up in Jacksonville we purchased special tickets for military at the Morale, Welfare and Recreation site.  The tickets included four days at any one of the parks, with a hopper pass.  We have till September of 2014 to use them.

If you have never been to Epcot, it's really neat.  They have sites representing different countries of the world.  We went to them all.  Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada.  They all had corresponding restaurants with native faire.  And of course workers in their native costumes.  Lots of them had boat rides showing local customs etc.  Some had 3 D movies and 360 degree circle vision.  We had a very enjoyable  day.  But our feet were hurting by the time we left the park around 7:00.
