CHRISTMAS LIGHTS * FLORIDA STYLE

                                        LARGO FLORIDA CITY PARK
Have to have a pink flamingo
Cindi, Karl and Vern

And a tree of course
This was neat! Light in tree defused on side walk. Didn't photo well.
Looked like you were walking on shiny marbles.
What amazed me about this walk in the park, viewing the Christmas lights?  Everybody was in tee shirts and shorts.  No coats, no sweaters.  December 8.  Children playing on the play equipment.  People walking dogs.  After the park, we drove by a Church that was doing the live nativity.  So we decided to do that.  You just stayed in your car and drove past the different scenes.  Very well done, with costumes and live animals.  They gave you a CD to play in your car and you passed by, telling the Christmas story.

  1. Howdy friends!
Received your card from sunny and warm Florida. What a great time you are having. So happy for you both. You have worked hard for these opportunities and now you are reaping the benefits. Hope you both had a lovely Christmas and are up for a New Year 2014.
We are happy to read that we still have an awesome country left with all the storms etc. over the years, and that someone has been able to witness such. Rochester is still here on the map, and has grown so much since we have lived here. Lots of new families have moved in as also evidenced in our Ward Family here. Last year we had 13 babies born in just a few short months, and we have just had 3 more new ones in November and December. It is like being in a rookery. He! He! Lots of people our age, and lots of 20-30+ year olds. It is quite wonderful.
Phillip and I are still busy at Church with our callings, and just finished a stake calling for 3 months at helping to prepare for the first Stake Celebration of Jesus Christ with Nativities from the members. For our first one we had 300+ crèches and 400 poinsettias. Lots of visitors for the 3 day event. We were happy to be part of that. No one would believe the hours that it takes to put an affair like that on. It was well worth it though.
Our families are doing pretty good this past year. The grandchildren are growing like weeds. Loving sports and very active. Colleen became engaged this past Dec. 7th to a nice fella. They will marry in the summer of 2015 they said. She is still very busy nursing at the Drs. office after 5+ years or so. Does good work and has gotten bonuses each year. Cory is 27 now and works hard at Home Depot. He spends times down at his step brothers and Tracy's. He has found warmth from them there. We were happy that it finally came about. It has helped Cory to have kinship with them.
Jen and Eric are as busy as can be with their 4 children in Creston, WA. Never a dull moment. The kids are very good, and have a great life with their good parents. Jen has been the YWomen's President for about 3 years now, and Eric is President over the HP's. Very busy callings with lots of work. They live in a very small branch and it has taken a lot of work to get it going and activated. They are working hard there.
The children are tall and lean. Ireland is about 5'10" and is still growing. She was put on the H.School varsity team last year while in Jr. high. She lettered in tennis, and is in her freshman year this year. She is in most of the sports. Wyatt is our scientist so to speak. Very bright. Brody is just an all around guy with musings all of his own. Great kid and loves to be in the kitchen. Sawyer is the kid who loves football and sports too. He was just baptized at 8 last year. He is the smaller guy but packs a great amount of fun in his body. Wyatt just became a deacon in November. He loves being with his Dad and learning his priesthood duties.
Well, just wanted to drop in and wish you both a wonderful Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2014. Both of us are country bumpkins and are doing fine. You two continue spending the families inheritances and enjoy yourselves even more. Send us another card next Christmas with all the things you have enjoyed and learned from traveling this great country. Glad to know after Obama that we still have anything left to celebrate. When you go to the Temples, would you please put our names in? We would appreciate it very much.
    Love,
    The Elliott's
Terry & Phillip p.s. Forgot to tell you that Lil Phillip and Cyndi and the 4 girls stopped by this past summer. They all looked great and the girls are so cute. Full of their Dad too.
