This section of the island was owned by Carnival Cruise Lines. The streets and walkways were all paved. They had a lift that took you from the shopping area to the beach, for a price of course. We chose to walk. The beach was amazing, with cabanas, chaise lounge chairs in the shade under trees or out in the sun. Your choice. Several restaurants, with high prices. You can eat on the ship for free. Here comes my cheapness again. And I'm sure the ship got a kick back from all the shops in the area also. It was what you always dream a paradise island would be like though. With beautiful crystal clear turquoise water. Palms swaying in the gentle breeze. You could swim with the porpoise here also. We didn't.
