We are only old because it has been a long time since we were stationed together in Japan as young married couples. Judy and Larry Novinger from Millerburg PA. They took us out for a wonderful lunch and some fine conversation about the good old days!! It has been over 35 years since we have seen one another. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then.
We both agreed that life has treated us well. We are very blessed! We are probably the only two couples still married from the neighborhood of young married couples that the spouses paid our own way to Japan and lived on the economy because our husbands were junior enlisted.
We reminisced about a night out for "poor people". Kool-aid, popcorn and a evening playing Scrabble or cards at the neighbor's house. Good times!! Thank you Judy and Larry!
